Our 2023 Wraps: A Year of Innovation, Success and Exciting New Features!

As we usher in a new year, we are thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared and set the stage for what promises to be an extraordinary 2023.

This year has been a testament to our collective resilience, innovation and commitment to shaping a future where financial transactions are not just moments but experiences enriched with value.

In a market where consumers and merchants need the right solutions to supercharge their business growth, Hello Clever has led the innovative technologies to become the only fintech in Australia with offerings that sit across the value chain in B2B and B2B2C and we will continue to ship products at rapid speed that will exceed customer expectations.

This year has been nothing short of incredible, and I am immensely grateful for the collective efforts that have propelled us to new heights including winning Australia’s most prestigious awards and growing our business exponentially.

Accelerating revenue growth and market expansions.

Our revenue sees exponential growth in 2023 starting from the direct result of our partnerships with leading industry providers such as 2C2P, Azupay, Choco-Up and Xero.

We’ve expanded our growth strategy to explore multiple market segments that focus on direct relationships with our merchants which deliver exceptional growth in gross merchandise volume (GMV), number of successful payments, number of new merchants onboarded and total end users that are part of the ‘Clever’ ecosystem.

As of today, there have been 100,000 users that are part of the Hello Clever Consumer app and over 300 direct merchants that are transacting with our Hello Clever Payment product which represents massive YoY growth in these numbers.

We’ve also started our strategic expansion into new markets such as Singapore and soon to be across South East Asia where we see the similarity in consumer behaviours and merchant activities to utilise the best offerings of real-time payment network.

Innovations in Product Development.

At Hello Clever, innovation is at the core of everything we do. In 2023, our product development team has been shipping over 17 sprints to introduce features and enhancements to uplift our processing volumes and be able to fit into the requirements of big enterprise clients.

We’ve been delivering impressive products such as:

1. Cashback Campaigns: boost sales, reward your loyal customers and reach new ideal audience with targeted cashback promotions.

2. New and improved merchant dashboard: end-of-day settlement, instant refunding and a better insights of your money coming in and out.

3. Launched Australia’s first all-in-one solution for PayID and PayTo with Xero: integrated seamlessly with Xero, our new app combines real-time payment and card transactions, making it easy for invoices to be paid, processed and settled in real-time.

4. Partnerships with Flagright to launch real-time fraud detection powered by AI: this empowers our merchant partners to proactively prevent fraud by detecting suspicious activity in real-time, globally.

5. Upgraded APIs: our new suite of API products help our merchants build highly configurable, intuitive and seamless payment experience that ultimately facilitates faster integration process.

Winning awards and empowering the best talents at Hello Clever.

This year we’ve been named The Emerging Fintech of the Year 2023 at The Finnies – Australia’s most prestigious award to celebrate excellence in innovation of the Australian financial service industries. The award serves as a recognition for everything we’ve done and acts as a powerful motivator for us to continue raising the bar in the years to come.

Hello Clever employs over 30 people across four countries and in September, we organised our first company trip ever to celebrate a year of hard work.

We’ve also been mentioned in articles by Salient as one of the top SaaS companies supporting women in APAC.

Hello Clever supports women in the workplace by implementing comprehensive paid leave policy including longer maternity leave and monthly period leave. Additionally creating policies that prevent discrimination and harassment with clear resolutions should the incidents occur. Being a female-led fintech startup, we’re proud to have more than 30% of their team are women working across Product and Tech and will have this number increased much more in the future.

Last but not least, we’d like to reinstate that one of principle core values is to ‘build with heart and balance’ which encapsulates a philosophy of mindful and purposeful creation. It’s a reminder that success is not solely measured by achievements but by the positive impact we’ve created together on others and the world around us. This is Hello Clever!
